What Makes a Man, a Man?

While the title may lack originality, I feel it well-suited to the content. A recent assignment for a college English class was to write an essay (1000 words) that analyzes ‘two fictional texts with a common theme about gender, ethnicity or social class’. I selected Flawless (1999) and To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar (1995). After receiving a grade of 100, I knew I had to share it (pdf file here).
