No patriot is allowed to question the cost of war. The war on terror, even the war on drugs; noble ventures that will benefit humankind for generations- uphold the country’s honour- make the world a safer place. No cost is too great.
So now it’s time for President Obama to declare war on ill-health. Uninsured people tend to get more infections, suffer more from them, are more apt to skip a Doctor’s visit and end up at an Emergency Room… through no fault of their own they are casualties.
It is un-American to leave anyone behind- we must pull together to fight the scourge of ill-health. We have the National Institutes of Health preparing new weapons to beat the enemy on any battlefield; whether it be your lungs or your kidneys. But remember; preventative medicine is the first line of defense; it is your civic duty!
