Paint the Car Red

So it seems someone in the neighbourhood was out celebrating. I can’t say for sure it was the election, but it certainly is quite possible. I live in an, um, shall we say, economically depressed part of town. Just over a mile from City Hall. I thought I was special until I found out a car at the other end of the street was also painted- although theirs was only lightly hit so a quick run through a car wash was enough.

In my case, with the amount of paint, and the broken rear-view mirror, I decided to let my insurance company co-ordinate everything. I have Grange Insurance of Ohio- have used them for years and will probably never leave them. They give good, rather great, service.

I am crossing my fingers that a Power Wash and some TLC will be enough- that the latex was still fresh and didn’t get into the original paint job. That car is just over three and a half years old, with something over a hundred and six thousand miles on it….but other than a few creaks (just like me) it is doing well for it’s age (sort of like me) and is good for some time yet (I hope like me).
