First, a disclaimer; Sister Who is a friend. They are also what Sister Mish (co-founder of the San Francisco Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) calls a “Sister in Solidarity” – someone who supports the aims of that Order without being a member. As a fully professed Sister (1983) of the Toronto Order of Perpetual Indulgence, I am also a SiS.
In addition, I have helped publish the Tarot of Sister Who, and am taking nominal compensation to promote that deck on-line. While I’m not presently taking any payment to promote these CDs or other Sister Who offerings.

I have struggled to come up with a succinct description of their music that doesn’t do an injustice. Many of the songs are clearly spiritual in nature; although certainly not tied to any specific denomination or faith tradition. The music genre is, I would say, ‘folk’ with Sister Who alone as vocalist while also playing all the music. The instruments vary; generally a guitar and/or electric organ according to my untrained ear.
There are short clips from every song on each album at SisterWho.com. You may also purchase your copies at that same website. I don’t have real time inventory- please contact Sister Who via their website for further information.
