Many of my text-based designs available to purchase on-line are snarky. Political and social commentary from a queer, progressive/socialist humanist point of view. Those designs are one important part of me refusing to be quiet: SILENCE = DEATH: then, now, always. I continue to add such designs, as the muse inspires.
However, I refuse to allow my justified anger and deep sadness be the totality of my self-expression. As a Sister of the Toronto Order of Perpetual Indulgence I took vows to celebrate love and “the delights of sensual and sexual liberation“; similar to the current vows US Sisters take to spread universal joy and eradicate stigmatic guilt.
A year ago I created my Choose JOY™ logotype to “encourage others (and remind myself) to choose joy“. I continue to promote joy- recognizing its close ties to love and kindness. I added my Choose LOVE™ logotype design last year. And now I’m adding “Kindness is Love in Action” – “without kindness there, can be no true joy” – “acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love” designs to my network of authorized Production Partners. Expect additional JKL Designs to follow.
